Profile 

Our client is a leading pulp and paper trading company headquartered in Europe. This established company operates in Europe, Asia, South America, North America and North Africa. They trade different pulp grades as well as speciality papers and are known for developing remote markets. 

We are looking for an individual with 3-4 years of experience in the chemical industry to join their team in China. This person will be the main point of contact with dissolving pulp suppliers in Mainland China. Candidates do not necessarily need sales experience but they must have good communication skills and a desire to sell. The successful incumbent must be able to travel domestically and once or twice a year internationally.
 

Responsibilities 
 
  • Responsible for relationships with dissolving pulp suppliers and customers
  • Meet with customers and suppliers in person, understand their needs and build strong relationships
  • Acquire, negotiate and close sales and purchase contracts
  • Source, prospect and identify new customers, suppliers and trading opportunities
 

Qualifications 
 
  • Technical background in chemicals or manufacturing
  • 3-4 years of professional business experience in a related field
  • University degree
  • Team player
  • Trading mentality, sales experience or an inclination towards sales
  • Open-minded, eager and dedicated to build a strong career with the organization
  • Ability to speak and communicate in both English and Mandarin
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Experience related to textiles, fibres, softwood or dissolving pulp would be considered a major asset
Salary Range:  Based on Experience (Base plus bonus)
