Senior & Intermediate Field Engineer Opportunities 

Our Opportunity

Strategic Natural Resource Consultants Inc. is looking for experienced Field Engineers to work with to develop in the profession of Natural Resource consulting. They will play an important field-specific role with our existing team of professionals within our Timber Development and Engineering Operation. The successful applicants are enthusiastic, hard-working individuals with a passion for working outdoors while supporting our teams on project and client deliverables. Effective communication and a strong work ethic are instrumental to this role. We are looking for someone that could start for Spring of 2019. Flexible on start date if the successful applicant is available to start prior to Spring of 2019. 

Qualifications:

- Knowledge & understanding of LiDAR and its field and office application is a must
- Registered with the Association of BC Forest Professionals as an RPF or RFT, or eligible
- Experience working in BC's Forestry industry for at least three years
- Knowledge of forest engineering and timber development, including harvest planning, road layout & design, and deflection line analysis. Able to gather and write SP's would be an asset
- Knowledge of coastal harvest & silvicultural systems
- Physically fit and interested in working in outdoor climates year round
- Knowledge and understanding of navigational tools, maps, GPS surveys and applications, and general computer shills (including MS Office, RoadEng and ArcGIS)
- Experience working around trucks, ATV's, boats, float planes & helicopters
- Must be able to work camp shifts
