Job Description:
Quality Supervisor responsibilities include:
● A quality supervisor is assigned a specific geographic region with accounts under his supervision
● The QS is responsible for making quality audits of finished product at wood products facilities (sawmills, wood treating plants, glued lumber, and wood packaging plants).
● A descriptive inspection sheet is completed with each audit.
● In some cases, follow up actions occur and the quality supervisor puts forth every effort to assist in troubleshooting problems.
● The QS also provides additional surveys as needed such as defect analysis, kiln audits, sawmill surveys and others.
● The QS is a resource to the customer, for training and education of requirements and regulations.
Qualifications:
Additional Skills Needed:
● Proficient in English
● Detail oriented
● Must be proficient in time management and organizational skills
● Ability to work alone with minimal supervision
● Professionalism, customer relations is important
● Computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office
● Good communication skills, e-mail, written, and oral
Required Education:
● A degree in Forest Products is a plus
● Experience working in lumber or forest products industry related is a plus
● Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus
Miscellaneous:
A vehicle and equipment is provided.
Salary:
Starting Salary - $40,000-$50,000 depending on experience and education
