Quality Supervisor
(Forestry, Logging & Mill Operations)

Southern Pine Inspection Bureau is an established and growing company in search of a Quality Supervisor.
Quality Supervisor responsibilities:
- Assigned a specific geographic region with accounts under his supervision.
- Responsible for making quality audits of finished product at wood products facilities (sawmills, wood treating plants, truss manufacturers, glued lumber, and wood packaging plants).
- Descriptive inspection sheet is completed with each audit.
- In some cases, follow up actions occur and the quality supervisor puts forth every effort to assist in troubleshooting problem.
- Provides additional suveys as needed, such as defect analysis, kiln audits, sawmill surveys, and others.
- The QS is a resource to the customer, for training and edcuation of requirements and regulations.
Additional Skills Needed:
- Proficient in English
- Detail-Oriented
- Must be proficient in time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work alone with minimal supervision
- Professionalism, customer relations is important
- Computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office
- Good communication skills - email, written, and oral
Required Education:
- A degree in Forest Products is a plus
- Experience working in lumber or forest products industry is a plus
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus
Compensation
Salary: $40,000.00 to $50,000.00 /year
