Weston Forest is one of North America’s leading full service distributors and remanufacturers of softwood & hardwood lumber, and specialty panel products. We operate a distribution and remanufacturing facility at the head office in Mississauga, Ontario and maintain an extensive inventory of Industrial and commodity lumber and panels to provide just-in-time service to the crating and industrial packaging industry, construction and infrastructure sector, and Lumber and Building Materials dealers, including MSR lumber for truss manufacturers.

Where you come in…

Weston Forest is looking for a new team member to join our Operations Team. You will be responsible for aspects of production related to the operation of our Mill including P & L performance and achieving production targets and goals in a safe and efficient manner.

We are looking for someone who can...

• Multi-task!
• Manage a group of approximately 25 employees across 2 shifts
• Ensure that proper Production targets are set and met in the most efficient and safe manner possible.
• Communicate positively and effectively will all divisions in the company that are affected by Mill Production
• Ensure that housekeeping standards are met in the production area
• Work with Operations Management to enforce current procedures and implement new processes and procedures that can increase efficiency and safety
• Build, train and maintain a strong team

Requirements...

• High School Diploma, post secondary an asset
• Experience managing a team of at least 10 people in a production style environment
• Experience managing P & L
• High attention to detail and high level of organization
• Strong initiative and follow up skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong team player with the ability to self manage and prioritize

Salary:  $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 /year

• Production Management: 4 years (Preferred)
