A successful and progressive hardwood sawmill in eastern Connecticut is seeking an energetic and goal driven Working Production Manager to join their team. Excellent benefits and work environment for the right sawmill professional.

Candidate Should

• Have a minimum of 3 years experience in a sawmill environment in supervisory/management role
• Be able to effectively communicate the qualification points of their experience.
• Have strong mechanical knowledge of a Cleerman carriage and husk.
• Filing/sharpening knowledge is preferred but not required.
• Have strong, effective communication skills with the ability to communicate to peers, mill staff and management.
• Show a track record of performance based on speed, yield and grade recovery.
• Ability to make your associates better; willing to train and improve about 15 production associates
• Strong safety record.
• Ability to work with and mentor junior associates over time.
