FEDC operates across the forestry, civil, and agriculture sectors in Northern NSW and has a strong pipeline of native and plantation hardwood harvesting contracts. The Role

FEDC is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to drive productivity in its native and plantation hardwood harvesting and chipping operations. Working with experienced operators and state of the art equipment, this role is a permanent full-time position based out of FEDC's Casino office, with local travel required to sites under your responsibility.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you would be responsible for:

  • day-to-day management of forestry operations, involving approximately 5 crews including harvester, skidder and chipper operators;
  • maintaining productivity levels to meet our customer's requirements; 
  • ensuring the operation's compliance with laws, regulations and requirements, particularly those relating to WHS and the environment; 
  • liaising with stakeholders, including subcontractors and client representatives; and 
  • co-ordinating the servicing and maintenance of plant and equipment with our workshop.
