Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for execution of all direct log objectives and obligations
  • Work closely with the RTM to develop, design and execute the annual stumpage sales program
  • Provide timely and accurate forecast information and operational recommendations
  • Create, communicate and document log inventory management system (LIMS) report updates
  • Lead role in log allocation (WINFALL) updates and maintenance
  • Prepare and publish log quality reports
  • Lead role in preparing budgets for operations and routine forecasting
  • Responsibility for the management of GIS data related to operations
  • Represent the Company positively in all interactions with agencies and industry cooperators
  • Maintain good relationships with the public and neighbors at all times

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors' degree in forestry
  • Five (5) plus years' experience in the forest and/or wood products industry
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work independently
  • Strong analytical and problem solving ability
  • Proficiency in the use of office software: spreadsheets, databases, word processing and presentations
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work in and maintain a highly functional team environment; both leading and providing a support role as necessary
  • Ability and willingness to advance to higher levels of responsibility in the organization
  • Thorough knowledge of state regulations governing forest activities and the appropriate use of BMPs
  • Excellent ability to manage multiple priorities and seasonally demanding workloads
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ten (10) plus years' experience in the wood products industry
  • Masters' degree in forestry, accounting or business
