OPERATIONS FORESTER

Seven Islands Land Company is seeking qualified candidates for an Operations Forester in the northern Maine region.  The operations forester is responsible for the oversight and implementation of silvicultural operations and other aspects of timber management including: management planning, road construction & maintenance, TSI, cruising, and wildlife & recreation management. 

Experience in northeastern operations and silviculture is preferred, other necessary skills include being computer competent (MS Office & ArcGIS), and be proficient with GPS units, handheld data recorders and other forestry tools.

We are seeking an independent, self-motivated individual looking for a challenge and an opportunity to work in rugged outdoor conditions in all seasons.

The candidate should have a minimum of either a two-year (AS) degree or a four-year (BS) degree in forestry or natural resources management. Seven Islands Land Company offers a comprehensive benefits package.  Salary is commensurate with experience.
