Material Handler

Job Responsibilities:

A material handler maintains production and distribution of product by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies, staging finished product and completing all assigned tasks in a Safe & Timely Manner. Below are some basic job duties that you will be required to do daily. These duties can and will change according to business conditions and Management reserves the right to change these items without notice or warning.

Material Handler Job Duties:

  • Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock and recording location of inventory.
  • Conducts cycle counts daily and reports all damages and shortages immediately
  • Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
  • Maintains WMS inventory at Warehouse by opening materials and supplies and storing them properly without damaging them.
  • Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units in WMS using required instructions & training provided by Supervisor or Team Leader.
  • Receives credit-return material (RMA’s) and supplies from products by verifying materials and supplies code and quantity; placing materials in stock according proper WMS procedures.
  • Prepares finished orders for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing products to arrive without damage or safety issues with drivers.
  • Documents product shipment by recording units shipped and all information needed such as cart tags, unit tags and PO’s etc.
  • Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs. Operating these machines in a safe manner at all times.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Skills/Qualifications: Organization, Scheduling, Analyzing Information , Dealing with Complexity, Deadline-Oriented, Time Management, Process Improvement, Safety Management, Inventory Control, Lifting, Data Entry Skills
  • Load / Unload trucks and make sure each delivery/inbound order or customer pick up is 100% accurate
  •  Participate in any & all assignments given to you including but not limited to warehouse assignments, meetings, training, housekeeping & safety sensitive assignments as required.

Material Handler Skills and Qualifications:

Organization, Scheduling, Analyzing Information, Dealing with Complexity, Deadline-Oriented, Self-motivated, Time Management, Process Improvement, Safety Management, Inventory Control, Lifting, Data Entry Skills & Team Work with a Good Positive attitude!

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift 50 to 100lbs consistently
  • Ability to work overtime on short notice including evenings and weekends/holidays
  • Strong Attention To Detail
  • Basic Math Skills
  • General Knowledge of hand/ power tools
  • Ability to complete training requirements on assigned equipment ( forklifts, tools, scan guns , tape measures and all required paperwork )
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work on your own or as a team concept without causing issues or disharmony to your team.
  • Ability to Follow Rules & Directions set by Team Leads, Supervisors & Manager
