Maintenance Technician (Maintenance & Trades)

Job purpose

The position of the Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshoot/resolve equipment issues, and participate in improvement projects. This person must be action oriented and responsive to his/her internal customers. Ability to organize and multi-task is essential.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Perform and record completion of preventative maintenance items
  • Manufacture/assemble tooling and fixtures
  • Disassemble and rebuild equipment as assigned
  • Respond quickly to line issues. Resolve and make recommendations to eliminate reoccurrences.
  • Complete work orders as assigned
  • Initiate work orders for process improvements or machine reliability 
  • Able to work outside of scheduled hours to complete tasks/projects.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

  • Associates degree or certificate in Industrial Mechanics preferred or equivalent experience
  • Be proficient in the use of Powered Industrial Trucks.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Electrical aptitude
  • PLC troubleshooting experience
  • Fabrication and welding experience

Working conditions

80% Indoors, 20% Outdoors

Physical requirements

  • This position must stand for 4-6 hours.
  • Able to lift 75 pounds occasionally
  • Able to work above head and below knees
  • Reach, stoop, squat, and work at floor level
