Forestry Technician (Technologists & Technicians)

We are currently seeking a Forestry Technician to assist in the planning, implementation, and supervision of our operations. The successful applicant will oversee or participate in the harvest, lay out and road construction, water crossing installation, quality control and other responsibilities as assigned.

Applicants Shall:

• Have a forestry diploma from an accredited institution or equivalent in experience.
•  Be highly motivated, with strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and computer skills.
•  Have basic knowledge of CFSA, OHSA, Forestry related guidelines and other applicable legislation.
•  Be in good physical condition, and able to work in all types of terrain under adverse weather conditions.
•  Participate in training required by legislation and/ or by W, Lafrance Logging Ltd.
•  Be able to work with minimal supervision.
•  Ability to direct workers and enforce safety procedure, compliance requirements, and quality guidelines.
•  Have a valid Ontario driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.

Related experience and fluent in both English and French would be an asset.
