Forestry Operations Supervisor (Management & Executives)

Genier Bros. Trucking Limited is looking for a qualified supervisor to help with forestry operations in Cochrane Ontario. The candidate would be responsible to manage harvesting operations in order to uphold the company’s corporate standards, requirements and policies in the workplace.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Communicate with management, employees and contractors that are involved with the daily operations.

- Coordinate and schedule employees, as well as monitor activities to maintain accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.

- Conduct daily supervision of contractor operations, including road building, harvesting and log hauling.

- Ensure the Health and Safety work, Environmental and legal requirements are met in a safe and cost-effective manner.

- Ensure the quality of wood supply to the mill, as well as respect the Forest Management Standards.

- Identify locations and boundaries for roads and harvesting blocks.

REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum of 3 years experience in the management of harvesting operations - Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather and terrain conditions - Willing to work in a remote/camp environment - Valid Drivers License
