Job Title: Forestry Manager

Location: Northern BC

A well established forestry company is looking to add a Forestry Manager to their team in Fort St James. You will be a leader and act as a liaison between the government and the company. If you are looking for longevity, this company has been in business for over 100 years. Promotions are frequent and from within.  

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Plant Manager you will be responsible for forecasting and coordinating operational forestry activities such as planning, logging,  truck hauling, road construction, road maintenance, road deactivation, silviculture and waste / residue surveys). Lead, plan and manage the resources activities on forest tenures associated with the site.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The company offers an attractive compensation package of $120,000-$125,000 plus benefits and vacations. If you are not from the area, they will provide a relocation assistance for you and your family.

REQUIREMENTS

– Bachelor’s Degree Forestry  

– RFP Designation

– 2 years Aboriginal relations experience

– 2 years Government policy experience

– 5 years of proven leadership experience
