Independent Contract position with the Tennessee Forestry Association (TFA). The forester would work closely with the Riparian Buffer Zone Projects in the Elk & Duck River Watershed Counties in Southern Middle Tennessee. Goals to recruit and retain Tree Farms in Tennessee with a focus on Elk/Duck Watershed Counties. (Maury, Marshall, Bedford, Coffee, Giles, Lincoln, Moore and Franklin). Responsibilities include working with Federal & State Agencies, NGO Representatives, others on the Elk/Duck River Watershed Steering Committee to promote forest management in the Elk/Duck Counties. Grow the TN Tree Farm Program, inspect/re-inspect Tree Farms, database organization, support the TN Tree Farm Program. Must be willing to participate in meetings statewide and comfortable with public speaking.
