Neville-Smith Forest Products (NSFP) is Australia's largest producer of high quality, sustainable Tasmanian Oak hardwood products. ABOUT THE POSITION

As one of Australia's largest forestry organisations, robust financial management is essential to ensure we meet the needs of our customers and financial stakeholders and is central to our overall success.

As Chief Financial Officer, you will be an integral member of the executive team and report directly to the CEO. Based at our Mowbray head office, you will have full responsibility for the financial management of the company, including control of the finance and accounting functions. This will entail both financial oversight and strategic input into key financial decisions.

The successful candidate will be a proven performer who is seeking opportunity to advance into an executive position. Commercial experience and business acumen will be essential as you take a lead role in managing external stakeholders.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:

  • Oversee the preparation of management and annual financial reports
  • Oversee the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts 
  • Presentation of financial report at bi-monthly board meetings
  • Ensure a sound financial and risk governance framework is maintained at all times
  • Review and analysis of operating results and KPI's
  • Lead oversight and financial analysis of capital projects and investment opportunities
  • Ensure close monitoring and effective management of inventory & production costs
  • Provide oversight of accounting and administration personnel
  • Liaison with key external services providers and financiers

ABOUT YOU

  • Professional CA / CPA qualifications
  • Strong communication, analytical & IT skills
  • High energy levels with demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Proven success and experience in a senior finance role
  • Previous experience in the timber or manufacturing industry will be highly regarded.
