Business Development Forester (Forestry, Logging & Mill Operations)

The Business Development Forester is responsible for managing our Land Resources field operations to maximize value by working collaboratively within their team to prioritize efforts for contractor supervision and ensure compliance with all contractual terms, BMPs, rules and regulations within the market region. They will also coordinate and communicate efficient operations between Resource Unit and Raydient stakeholders. This position will support existing businesses within the Land Resources portfolio broadly categorized into Hunting and Recreation, Minor Forest Products, and Minerals and Energy. The Business Development Forester will also contribute to business development initiatives to identify, develop, market, and execute new business opportunities that maximize growth and assist with due diligence activities related to land acquisition projects.

Requirements

  • BS in Forestry or similar Natural Resources program, Business Administration, Finance or Real Estate
  • Some experience in forestry, wildlife management, hunting, recreation, or other non-timber income development and/or management is preferred

  • Ability to build customer relationships, vendor relationships and performance

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong planning, organizing, and prioritizing skills
