Profile 

Lumber treatment plant in Abbotsford. Opportunity to be the key support to this subsidiary plant of large a large Canadian company. Reporting to the site GM and headquarter Divisional Controller you will be responsible for financial statement, budgetary controls, policies and procedures and will coordinate with the head office team. General office admin as well. Location is not accessible by transit.
 

Responsibilities 

  • Prepare monthly financial statements, annual budgets and forecasts in conjunction with Divisional Controller
  • Prepare daily, monthly, quarterly and annual production and revenue reports
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Manage invoicing
  • Enter and review information, and create reports within manufacturing ERP system
  • Coordinate inventory cycle counts and month end reconciliation
  • Make purchases of required products and schedule replenishment cycles
  • Coordinate with outside contractors and service providers
  • Enter, review and approve payroll data in time and attendance system for processing at head office
  • Maintain employee files and assist with new employee onboarding, including new hire documentation
 

Qualifications 

  • High school graduation is a requirement
  • Diploma or certificate in Business Administration is an asset
  • Minimum five years’ prior experience in full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
  • Good understanding of or recent work experience in a company with manufacturing and inventory processes
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
  • Advanced computer skills using MS Office, accounting software and databases
  • Experience or knowledge of purchasing cycle
  • Aptitude for detail when working with spreadsheets (MS Excel) to ensure accuracy of data
  • Able to work independently and stay organized
  • Able to take initiative and prioritize work tasks
  • Able to manage and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Compensation

Salary Range: $70,000-74,000
